Privacy at Homenu
Updated 21 October 2026
This notice covers the Homenu customer, cook and team application at app.homenu.work and admin.homenu.work. Homenu is currently a pilot. For privacy questions or requests, contact homenu@safylabs.com.
Information used by the app
We use account details such as your name, email address and sign-in identifiers to create and secure your account. Password sign-in uses a password hash. If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides basic profile and verified email information so Homenu can identify your account. Homenu does not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files or contacts.
Details you submit for a visit can include your address, postcode, phone number, household size, meals, ingredient notes, dietary requirements, allergies and visit preferences. These help manage your requests and prepare for a visit. Only provide information needed for that purpose. Cook applications, availability, visit updates, feedback and support messages are used to manage the pilot.
Who receives information
Authorized Homenu team members use relevant records to manage accounts, requests and support. Assigned cooks receive visit information needed for their work. The app restricts access to household contact details according to the cook assignment and visit status.
Cloudflare provides application hosting and database services. Resend handles account verification and password-reset email delivery. Google handles Google sign-in when you choose it. These providers process information needed to provide their respective services.
Postcodes.io receives your postcode to check London coverage. If you use address search, Photon receives the search text to suggest addresses. You can enter your street address manually instead; postcode coverage is still checked.
Cookies and browser storage
Homenu uses authentication cookies to maintain your signed-in session. Browser storage can retain meal-planning drafts and temporary sign-in return information, so you can continue a request after signing in. Signing in on its own does not authorize a new visit request.
Your choices and requests
You can use email and password instead of Google sign-in. You can sign out and request a password reset. Contact homenu@safylabs.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information, or to raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity before acting on an account request.
Account and visit records are stored to support the pilot, account security and request history. Deleting local browser storage does not delete server records. Contact us to discuss removal of those records and any records that need to be retained for unresolved requests or applicable obligations.
Changes
We will update this notice as the service changes. The date above identifies the current version.
